2026 Vision:
Crowded Table
Why Crowded Table?
In 2026, our world is marked by despair, polarization, and relational poverty. Jesus shows us a different way of life- a whole, relational life of belonging. At his table, everyone was welcomed to eat, find healing, and share their stories.
Following this vision of a crowded table, Old Mission United Methodist Church commits to offering God’s authentic love and intergenerational relationships to all who gather here. Come as you are. There is always a place for you at this crowded table.

How are we going to do it?

In 2026 and beyond, we commit to living out our mission through intentional daily practice, nurturing stronger belonging within our church, and extending the gifts of belonging beyond its walls.
See
We will slow down and truly notice people in our church, our neighborhoods, and our everyday lives. We will look for those who feel unseen, overlooked, or disconnected, and honor the image of God in every person.
Listen
We will listen with humility and compassion to God’s Word, to the Spirit’s leading, and to one another’s stories. We will listen to understand faithfully.
Invite
We will extend genuine invitations into worship, community, friendship, and the life of Christ. We will practice intentional hospitality that fosters Christ’s belonging.
Serve
We will serve wherever needs are present within our congregation and beyond, offering our time, gifts, and presence as a living expression of Christ’s love.
Through seeing, listening, inviting, and serving, we are growing as a beloved community.
