Adult Studies for Fall

Bible 101
If you don’t know which version of the Bible to read (or if you don’t know that different “versions” means different translations), if you don’t know where to find 1 Corinthians, if you wonder why there are four Gospels instead of one or five, or if you haven’t read the Bible because it’s too intimidating, this study could be right for you. We are starting with the very, very basics in understanding our sacred text. Join Pastor David for this 6-week class.
Wednesday evenings 7:00-8:30 pm
Starting September 30 on Zoom
An optional book: A Doubter’s Guide to the Bible by Terry Giles
Leader: Rev. David Livingston

Introduction to the Enneagram
The Enneagram is a tool that allows you to take a fresh look at your personality without judgment or shame. It helps you discover the essence of who God created you to be, in God’s image, which is often masked by the personality, built by culture. Pastor Nancy will be your guide through this 4-week introductory course of self-discovery and transformation.
Tuesday evenings 7-8:30 pm on Zoom.
September 29; October 6, 13 & 20
Leader: Rev. Nancy R. Pauls

Be the Bridge
Do you ever find yourself in a situation where you don’t know what to say to someone that has made a discriminatory remark? Do you find yourself fearful or hesitant of saying or doing something wrong when you are in conversation with others about race and privilege? This study can help you navigate conversations, give you tools to speak up against racism, and build unity. Join Pastor Karen, Bill and Karen, Debbie and others in this 6-week study as we look at scripture, pray together and have conversation with one another. Together, we can build the bridge.
Monday evenings 7:00-8:30 pm
Starting September 28 on Zoom
Co-Leaders: Rev. Karen Nyhart, Karen and Bill Eisele, Debbie Williams and others.
Books can be purchased here.
