FAMILY MISSION TRIP JULY 12-15
Come work side by side as we help in a food pantry, a homeless shelter, and a community garden at “The Big Garden” in Omaha, Nebraska, July 12– 15. It is a United Methodist organization. Their mission experiences are a combination of hands on work, educational opportunities, and small group learning around issues of hunger, poverty, and food security. Join us to learn about food security and food justice, systemic issues of hunger and poverty, shopping in a food pantry, community gardens and composting, seed saving, race and poverty, and advocacy.
The cost is $200 per person. We will stay at a church and fix our own meals. For more information contact Rev. Debbie, 913.262.1040, Debbie@oldmission.org, or visit www.biggarden.org.
